“Um Erwartungen geht es am zweiten Abend. Welche Erwartungshaltung eine Stimme wecken kann, führt die Performerin Alyssa Marie Warncke vor. In völliger Dunkelheit hören wir nur ihre Stimme. Sie flüstert, sie droht, sie verführt sie betört, sie lädt ein und sie stößt zurück. Als der Vorhang aufgeht, erscheint eine elegante Frau im Abendkleid. Eine Opernsängerin am Klavier? Doch diese Erwartungen unterläuft sie. Sie stößt nur einzelne Laute aus, spielt mit ihren Mundwerkzeugen, unterstützt oder karikiert sie mit ihrer Mimik. Einzelne Sätze scheinen sich zu formen. Sie erinnern entfernt an etwas. Als sie sich schließlich ans Klavier setzt, wird klar voran: “I feel stupid, And contagious, Here we are now. Entertain us!”, der Song von Kurt Cobain. Doch sie sitzt dabei keineswegs brav am Klavier. Sie dreht ihm den Rücken spielend, sie streckt ihre Beine verführerisch über die Tastatur oder sie legt sie quer den Stuhl, immer weiter spielend und singend. Warncke zeigt, was alles mit der Stimme jenseits eines schönen Liedinterpretation möglich ist. Eine beeindruckende Vorführung.”

“It is all about Expectations on the second evening. The type of expectations that can be awaken by the voice is a topic that the performer Alyssa Marie Warncke explores. In complete darkness, we hear only her voice. She whispers, she threatens, she seduces, she bewitches, she invites you and then she pushes you away. As the curtains open, there appears to be an elegant woman in an evening dress. An Opera Singer playing the piano? She goes against this expectation, however, as only single sounds can be heard; she plays with her lips, mouth and with the sounds of her voice, supported by her caricatural facial expressions. Certain words and sentences are being constructed, and they slightly remind us of something. As she goes back to play the piano, it all begins to make sense: “I feel stupid, And contagious, Here we are now. Entertain Us!” The song from Kurt Cobain. But she doesn’t sit and play piano in a well-behaved manner. She plays the piano backwards, she sits and stretches her legs seductively over the piano keys, or she lies across her piano stool – all this while still playing and singing. Warncke shows us all the possibilities of the voice over a beautiful song interpretation. An awe-inspiring performance.”
